Bulldogs, baby
I'm not in this, but I'll be in some of the stuff posted at MTV Overdrive very soon.

From Brenner
Here's how he put it:
"Rap-off b-boy skips a beat, goes reggae, gets served his own ass by son of Genghis, yo."
I would say he goes not reggae but dancehall, and Genghis wasn't Chinese, but we get the drift.

Octopus escaping through a 1 inch hole
From my man, Brenner. Here's what the description has to say:Octopuses have an amazing ability to squeeze through tiny crevices, cracks and holes. My fall BIOS independent studies student, Raymond Deckel is investigating just how small a hole Octopus macropus can fit through as well as how long it takes them to squeeze through different sizes of holes. CAABS intern Rowena Day, NSF-REU intern Jared Kibele as well as teaching assistant Abel Valdivia help wrangle the 232 g octopus, Ray times it’s escape through a 1 inch hole while I shot video clips for later analysis. Location: Whalebone Bay, St. George’s, Bermuda. |
My accent
What American accent do you have? Your Result: The West Your accent is the lowest common denominator of American speech. Unless you're a SoCal surfer, no one thinks you have an accent. And really, you may not even be from the West at all, you could easily be from Florida or one of those big Southern cities like Dallas or Atlanta. | |

will not be the first day of not blogging.
I hope Michigan goes to the BCS Championship Game for a rematch against Ohio State. Just not Florida, please God no.
That is all.

Bill Dixon at Destination Out
Over at Destination Out from a couple of days ago there are some indescribably beautiful and stark tracks by trumperter Bill Dixon. In fact, at first listen, I 'd say they're my favorite cuts ever put on the site. I highly recommend checking them out before they're gone.
I don't know a whole lot about Dixon's music except for his playing on Cecil Taylor's Conquistador, where he's a great addition. I don't know Taylor's music as well as I should either, but I think having brass in Taylor's compositions is a welcome addition.
