Bill Dixon at Destination Out

Over at Destination Out from a couple of days ago there are some indescribably beautiful and stark tracks by trumperter Bill Dixon. In fact, at first listen, I 'd say they're my favorite cuts ever put on the site. I highly recommend checking them out before they're gone.

I don't know a whole lot about Dixon's music except for his playing on Cecil Taylor's Conquistador, where he's a great addition. I don't know Taylor's music as well as I should either, but I think having brass in Taylor's compositions is a welcome addition.
